This is what Well of Salvation Church holds to. It is the ground we stand on, and it does not move with the season.
One God
We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
One Faith
We believe in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, and in salvation through faith in Him.
One Purpose
We are called to live by God’s Word, walk in the power of the Holy Spirit and share the Gospel.
What we believe and teach
The Scriptures
We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, in their original writing, as fully inspired of God and accept them as the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
The Word of God
We believe opinion is no substitute for the truth of God’s Word; we preach the Word of God as inspired by the Holy Spirit.
One God in Three Persons
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ, True God and True Man
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man.
His Death for Our Sins
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins a substitutionary sacrifice according to the Scriptures and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.
Resurrection, Ascension and Intercession
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus, His ascension into Heaven, and His present life as our High Priest and Advocate.
His Personal Return
We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Repentance and the New Birth
We believe that all who repent of their sin and receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
Faith and God’s Promises
We believe faith without God’s promise would be a foot without ground to stand upon; we believe in the Word with its promises.
The Resurrection and Eternity
We believe in the resurrection of both the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed, and the eternal banishment of those who have rejected the offer of salvation.
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, empowering and equipping believers for service, with the accompanying supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit, and in fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Faith That Endures
We believe being challenged in life is inevitable but being defeated is optional, quitters never win and winners never quit, therefore by faith without wavering we shall continue to serve God until the Lord’s return.
Not because of challenges in life shall we change our direction in God.
